Why have you joined Future Fathers?
What do you hope to find at Future Fathers?
This website here is my baby! I hope to provide a service to many men out there who are seeking to start their own families. And, of course, I'd like to find the same for myself.
What is your vision for becoming a father (# of children, parenting style, etc)?
I see myself adopting two boys--I don't know why that's the picture I have. I'd like to adopt within the next ten years (which means I hope to be coupled up within that time, too). A friend of mine was adopted as a teenager, so I'm trying to learn from her what that is like, but a strong part of me would prefer to adopt an infant or toddler. I just like the idea that the child would only know life with me and my partner.

What are your hobbies and interests?
I'm an artist by trade. Thanks to the recession, I'm between jobs, but I still have my art career, and, of course, I have Future Fathers to keep me busy. I love long walks, reading, coffee houses, watching football (on TV) and baseball (preferably live), and hanging out with my friends (this is very important to me)
What are your favourite books, movies, TV shows, music, etc?
Books: I'll list authors and make it easy on myself: Chaim Potok, EL Doctorow, Walter Kirn, Douglas Coupland, Karen Armstrong, many more Movies: Oh, boy, again, long list. My favourites are Good Will Hunting, Breakfast at Tiffany's, LOTR, the Spider-Man and X-Men movies, and just so many more. I prefer smart comedies (think Wes Anderson) and drama. No horror movies for me! TV: I don't really watch TV anymore. I do catch up some faves, like The Simpsons, online. But I do watch the NFL during the football season--this is a big ritual for me. I listen to practically everything except country and gospel. I have a huge variety in my Pandora stations: pop, rock, jazz, New Age, classical, and more.
Anything else you would like to tell a prospective date?
I've been told that I'm a little surprising, that my second impression reveals a lot more about me than my first. And I really don't think I really learn much about a guy from a first date, so I'd prefer to go out 2-4 times to get a proper read of each other. |
